About Community Report

Black Americans go missing at higher rates than their share of the population, and their cases get far less sustained media attention. Less attention means fewer people looking, and less pressure to keep a case moving. Community Report is a neighborhood-style space where verified information about missing Black people, adults and children, can be seen and shared.

What we are

• A place for verified, official information and photos, so more people recognize a missing person.
• Support for families: one page to point people to, with the agency's number on it.

What we are not

• Not a tip line: information goes to the investigating agency.
• Not an investigation: we never ask anyone to search for or confront anyone.
• Not a news site: True News, our sister site, links here.

Where we are

Verified reports about missing children are listed from every state. Adult reports are opening state by state as trained moderators join, starting with Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Maryland.
