What's public
Only what a moderator approves: the missing person's name, age, description, last-seen city and date, the circumstances from the official record, approved photos and videos, and the investigating agency's contact.
What stays private
- The person who submits a report: name, email, phone and relationship. Moderators use them to verify the report and to send status updates. They are never shown publicly or shared.
- Verification documents: seen only by moderators and deleted from our servers as soon as a decision is made.
- Photo location data: we strip all metadata, including GPS location, from every photo when it's uploaded.
When someone is found, or a family asks
The page is changed to say the person was found (or taken down), and every photo, video and document is deleted.
